Committee Two

Edward Kasaija (top left) now pastors the very first Presbyterian Church in Uganda. Edward, our point man in Uganda, is our Trainer of loan recipients and leaders, and is himself an agricultural and animal husbandry specialist and a successful entrepreneur that serves as examples to others. He, J. Wyatt George, Executive Secretary (lower left), a teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church in America, and Patrick Bukenya (lower right), church elder, oversee all Ugandan TMP matters, and they report to the US Board.


(Committees One are the leaders in each local church who are regarded as of first importance. Committee Two is TMP central leadership with these duties.

  • Update policy.
  • Assessment discussion with Committee One leaders.
  • Conduct training classes for the leaders.
  • Take note of our rising leaders and give them leadership experience.
  • Chart the training yet needed in each church.
  • Oversee the repayment record of each church's loan recipients.
  • Help the record keepers.
  • Hold two-day general business training seminars to all comers.
  • Conduct assessment interviews of TMP-financed businesses.
  • Transfer business data and their operators to US supporters.
  • Host American guests to see what TMP does.
