The Board of Directors meets annually, reviews policy, finances, administration and takes a keen interest in its Ugandan partners. Most of us have served for short terms in Ugnada. Seeing connections in Christ between the US and Africa in economic interests has filled us up to enjoy God!
David Rothbard, member since 2016, went to the Lord early in 2018. David, a Reformed man, had a very, very strong interest in micro-economic development and founded and worked in Uganda and Rwanda with Church and Villages United. His frequent counsel was above and beyond what anyone could ask. He has left a wife and three daughters who will go to him in the end. We miss David, his wisdom, his wit, his personable approach to Wyatt and TMP leaders in Uganda.
Curt Rabe, our newest member -2018- is a pastor in Illiana Presbytery (PCA). He will head up Educational Assistance (EA) as a separate ministry. Curt and Mary are parents of five, now adult children. Mary founded and runs an environmentally alert business based upon goat's milk products.
Jack Van Der Slik, Board Member Emeritus. PhD in political science and author is retired in Florida. Jack and Bonnie love life, the church, its Lord and their three children.
Robert Hayes, a retired pastor and Christian educator, has served many short mission trips to Uganda with African Christian Training in leadership. He brings insight and passion to this ministry. Her inquisitive and probing analysis has kept us on a good, humous and positive trajectory. Her MD husband also serves in Uganda as a trainer opthalmologist and surgeon. JD, Paula and son Ian live in Tennessee.
Paul Ploegman, MD, retired, still practices pediatric medicine in Colorado, part-time. His nearby counsel to the TMP executive secretary has been so very valuable. Paul has been an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church and has chaired the Board of Trinity Christian School. He and Chris both serve the community and are parents of four fine children. Paul is our board President.
Wyatt George, a retiree from Grace Pres Church, serves as Executive Secretary of TMP. Annually, in Uganda, he helps with TMP leadership.
